Are you registered to vote?

To vote in Texas elections, you must be registered to vote at least 30 days before Election Day.

How to Register in Texas

Eligible voters may register to vote by completing a Texas Voter Registration Application and submitting it by mail or in person.
You can obtain and submit a voter registration application at:
The Bell County Elections Office
A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) driver license office
- (You may register when you apply for or renew a Texas driver license or state ID)
Public assistance offices that provide voter registration services
Military recruitment offices
By printing and mailing the official Texas voter registration form

Texas does not offer same-day voter registration.

When to re-register

Your voter registration remains active unless you move, change your name, or fail to vote in multiple election cycles.

Address changes

If you move within Bell County, you must update your voter registration with your new address.
If you move to a different Texas county, you must re-register in your new county.

Address updates must be submitted to the local voter registrar (Bell County Elections Office) before the registration deadline.

Name changes

If you legally change your name but do not move, you should update your voter registration records.

Voters who have changed their name may still be able to vote after completing a name update at the polling location, subject to Texas election law and identification requirements.

Where do I vote?

During Early Voting, you may vote at any early voting location in the City of Killeen.
On Election Day, you may vote at your assigned polling place.

Polling locations and hours are published by the Bell County Elections Office prior to each election.

If you are in line at the polling place by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, you are entitled to vote.
